Designed in the Kingdom of Northumbria—a land marked by deep history, from the Lindisfarne raid of 793 AD, which marked the start of the Viking Age, to its role as one of the original seven Saxon Kingdoms that merged to create England in 927 AD, that was later joined by the Celtic nations of Scotland, Wales, and Ireland to forge Great Britain. Its heritage is built into the landscape—an identity forged over centuries and carried into the present.
Founded by Ben Warman a true product of the land, MadèEvil is personal as well as purposeful. With English, Scottish, Irish, and Danish roots, Ben has truly harnessed his own heritage through this project. Even the name Warman traces back to Old English origins—meaning a “man of wares,” a merchant—built on craft, trade, and quality.
